The vision to develop a modern Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for the beauty and wellness industry was established, laying the foundation for what would later become the Kumo™ platform.
Kumo gets incorporated under Gocloud Technologies, with the first system being called BeautiERP (pronounced as Beauty E.R.P.).
Our founder, Kevin, did sales through cold calls and canvassing within the spa and beauty industry.
As sales continued to grow, Kumo™ expanded its team by hiring a few new developers and our first salesperson to start selling BeautiE.R.P.
Growing interest from medical aesthetic clinics marked an important milestone, whereas the platform was further enhanced to accommodate the operational requirements of this industry.
During the same year, BeautiERP was officially rebranded as Aoikumo™ and expanded to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Aoikumo™ started getting known for its resilience and constant improvements. At this point the system was already ahead of industry requirements. As subscriber growth accelerated, the platform continued to scale to support increasing demands.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the industry was hit, and we wanted to help our subscribers. In response, we developed and launched Webstore, an online sales platform for all our subscribers.
Kumo™ also expanded its digital ecosystem with the launch of our tablet app called kumoBiz and another staff-based app called kumoSan. We reached a 229% growth between 2019 and 2020.
As demand for digital transformation within the dental industry increased, Kumo™ expanded its platform capabilities to support dental workflows, including Dental and Periodontal Charting functionalities.
This led to the introduction of kumoDent™, a dedicated dental clinic operating system developed specifically for dental practices.
During the same period, MeTIME Wellness, a customer and patient engagement application, was also introduced to further enhance the digital experience across the Kumo™ ecosystem.
MeTIME Wellness was further enhanced to allow over-the-app purchases.
Kumo™ also expanded into the veterinary industry with the launch of kumoVet™, a Practice Management Software and Scheduling System for Veterinary Clinics.
Kumo™ continued its expansion into broader healthcare segments with the launch of kumoDoc™, a Practice Management Software for Primary Care, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Ophthalmology clinics.
A Third-Party Administrator (TPA) module was built and integrated with all Kumo™[LY29.1] platforms to WhatsApp and Google applications.
Kumo™ achieved the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for Information Security Management Systems, being the first Clinic Operating System provider from Malaysia to receive this certification.
Kumo™ continued its transformation into a unified healthcare platform by introducing AI-powered automation features and enhancing the integration of operational tools within its healthcare operating infrastructure.
By reducing administrative burden and connecting daily workflows across clinic businesses, Kumo™ continues to build an integrated platform that empowers healthcare providers to operate more efficiently and obtain sustainable growth.
